Though vineyards exist in almost every U.S. state, California outranks all of the others by a great deal and its production can even be ranked on a global scale. In fact, California ranks # 4 in the world in volume production among wine producers with a total of 2 billion liters per year, following only Italy, France, and Spain. It also ranks as one of the most diverse wine regions in the world due to its ability to produce almost 100 separate high-quality grape varietals. Some of the most popular wines include: * Merlot * Pinot Noir * Cabernet Sauvignon * Shiraz * Zinfandel * Chardonnay * Sauvignon Blanc Within the state, there are approximate 4,500 wine grape growers; a testament to the size and importance of the wine industry in California. The wine industry in California is easily the most profitable of any other area in the Unites States and its wine’s are among the top in quality around the world. This distinguished the royalty from non-royalty and restrictions on social dressing. Multi vitamins are so common these days you wouldn’t even think of them as a supplement. A multi vitamin is defined in the dictionary as “a preparation intended to supplement a human diet with vitamins, minerals and other nutritional elements.” The US government categorizes multi vitamin under “food”, because it contains 3 or more vitamins or minerals but does not contain herbs, hormones, or drugs. The multi vitamin can come in many forms such as tablets, capsules, packs, powders, liquids and even injections; however, injections can only be prescribed by a doctor. There are many different combinations and doses of vitamins and minerals and many of them exceed the 100% recommended daily allowance. Depending on your physical needs, many of the excess vitamins and minerals that cannot be digested are harmlessly excreted out of the body. There are a few that will not exceed the RDA such as Vitamin A, Vitamin K, Iron, and many of the trace elements because they are not easily depleted unless under extreme physical stress and could become toxic if too much is retained in the body. Because the body’s nutritional requirements will differ depending on your physical requirements and diet, most multi vitamins are […]

Are you surprised? Next to the real estate and housing industry, the travel industry is said to be the second largest industry in the world. Did you know that in the USA more money is spent on travel annually than on healthcare, more than on telecommunications, far more than on computers and surprisingly, even more than on food? Travel is a 7 trillion dollar plus industry worldwide and is expected to continue to grow dramatically over the next two decades as members of the baby boom generation fulfill their number one goal: to travel more. Younger generations are becoming more adventurous as well. People worldwide, in developing nations and developed nations, desire to travel more as they are exposed to new worlds on the Internet and as their incomes continue to grow. We live in an increasingly smaller world. And, as people earn more and more money in their home travel businesses, they receive many wonderful travel bonuses and get to travel a lot more. There are currently a couple of home-based businesses in the field of travel and leisure that have become extremely popular within the past year. Why is having health or medical insurance so important? There is certainly a misconception that medical insurance is only for the elderly and older folks. Many young adults and even some middle aged adults have this misconception that since they are still healthy and without any illness, they do not need this security blanket that a health insurance policy provides. Their argument is that the premiums are high and that they are not getting anything in return if they do not make use of the policy. Perhaps, these people are ignorant or have not heard or read of young and healthy people who without any warning, suffer a health attack or succumb to cancer. This is not surprising considering the hectic lifestyle and the regular intake of unhealthy food in this fast moving world that we live in. In addition, unforeseen accidents, minor or major can happen anytime. Breaking an arm or a leg can happen anytime while playing basketball or football. In the tropics, many people young and old falls victims to dengue due to mosquito bites. Considering the rising cost of medical care, hospitalization, surgery and medicines, a visit to the hospitals for treatment can indeed set back […]

Outsourcing business solutions allows businesses to maintain a competitive edge while saving on costs. There are certain functions, like IT and web design, that are necessary but may not fall under a business’s core competencies. Maintaining in-house teams can be costly in terms of office space, equipment and training. Some businesses may not have the resources to spend on them. By outsourcing their solutions, businesses can leverage the expertise of a provider at a fraction of the cost of maintaining in-house services. There are distinct advantages to outsourcing, including: Cost-effective communication. Businesses can boost staff productivity with professional email and collaboration tools. These solutions require their own servers, however, and need to be maintained by a dedicated IT team. By outsourcing the IT solution, businesses can save on the cost and hassle of server maintenance while enjoying 24/7 support. Professional Web design. Businesses may not have the time or expertise to design their own website. Through a provider, they can have a professionally designed corporate website built according to their budget and specifications. Enhanced online visibility. It takes IT expertise to enhance a website’s visibility so the target audience can find it. By leveraging search engine optimization and pay-per-click advertising […]

Do you suffer from heavy metal toxicity? Chances are you do. If you are suffering from symptoms such as; chronic fatigue, chronic infections from decreased immunity, autoimmune diseases, chronic candida overgrowth, and even cancer, heavy metal toxicity may be the root cause of it all. Your Dr. may not be testing for heavy metal toxicity and prescribing medication instead without getting to the root of the problem. You need to know better. Although mercury toxicity from amalgam dental fillings has recently gained some exposure, mercury is not the only dangerous heavy metal you need to be aware of. Cadmium, aluminum, lead, and arsenic are some of the heavy metals we are exposed to just by breathing in the air around us. Industrial discharges, pesticide run offs, incinerator emissions, manufacturer smokestacks, and aviation, and auto vehicle exhaust all spew heavy metals into the air we breathe and the ground we get our water and food from. Aluminum toxicity is also easily leached into processed, packaged food during manufacturing and packaging. Aluminum can leak from giant vats used in commercial kitchens, aluminum lined juice boxes, cans, and other packaging materials. Cadmium is another heavy metal leaking into the environment on a continuous […]

We live in an information overloaded society, yet we actually know so little. While I was reading this book I took a straw poll of some people I know, and 100% of them had no idea who the Colwell brothers, or Herb Allen are. So much information, yet so little knowledge is a real problem in today’s world. The three cowboy brothers and Herb, probably did more for world peace, or at least peaceful co-existence than any President, or any government organization has ever done. Frank McGee has produced a great book that chronicles the story of these eclectic individuals. Even better the book is peppered with photographs of the actual people and events. The story starts right after WWII, the Colwell’s are in their teens, and have a true skill in the entertainment world, initially self taught, they make their mark on the radio landscape, appearing in the Tex Williams weekly show. Invited to ‘tour’ overseas for one month the young brothers can not resist, and against their parents better judgment they set off on their adventure. It was almost a decade before they returned to the US. As part of MRA (Moral Re-Armament) and later Up With People […]

If you really want to become more profitable and improve operations in your company, you have to shift your focus from the following limiting thoughts about technology.   If I buy the latest production software we will be in good shape We don’t do that here We are unique, we don’t have competition that use technology to help them generate profits The plan is in my head, people will steal it off the computer All I need is more sales to make more profits   You’ve got to get the right mindset by eliminating restricting thoughts, and then you’ll be ready to improve people, processes and profitability. Do you ever wonder how a company can start out with just one idea, a passion and a vision, then 10 to 20 years later have thousands of employees and millions in sales?   What did these companies do to become so successful Are the owners smarter than you? Do they work harder than you? Did they have better equipment or people than you?   No. But they do use better technology tools to drive operation (the people and the process). Operations represent about 60% or 80% of all your overhead costs but […]
